DESCRIPTION:– English version below – \nWenige Reizthemen erhitzten in den letzten Jahren so sehr die Gemüter wie gendergerechte Sprache. Während die einen darin einen Raubbau an der deutschen Sprache sehen\, halten andere sie für unbedingt notwendig\, um eine echte Gleichberechtigung der Geschlechter zu erreichen. In einer kontroversen Podiumsdiskussion wollen wir verschiedene Standpunkte zum Thema hören und „sine ira et studio“ miteinander darüber ins Gespräch kommen\, inwiefern gendergerechte Sprache zu einer Gleichberechtigung der Geschlechter beitragen kann. \nVier spannende Referent:innen werden an diesem Abend gemeinsam mit uns diskutieren: \n– Frau Prof. Dr. Karin Birkner\, Inhaberin des Lehrstuhls für Germanistische Linguistik an der Universität Bayreuth\, stellvertretende Frauenbeauftragte\, stellvertretende Vorsitzende der Gesellschaft für angewandte Linguistik; sie sagt: „Sprache ist Werkzeug und Abbild zugleich\, sie sedimentiert Vergangenes (System) und passt sich Neuem an (Gebrauch). Sprache prägt die Sicht der Welt und die Sicht der Welt prägt die Sprache!“ \n– Frau Prof. Dr. Lisa von Stockhausen\, Inhaberin des Lehrstuhls für Allgemeine Psychologie I: Sprache und Kognition an der Universität Duisburg-Essen\, beschäftigt sich intensiv damit\, wie Sprache unser Denken beeinflusst und verändern kann. \n– Herr Dr. Eberhard Schmidt\, Regionalleiter für Oberfranken des Vereins Deutsche Sprache\, sagt: „Die sogenannte ‚gendersensible‘ oder ‚gendergerechte‘ Sprache soll mit untauglichen Mitteln ein vorgebliches Problem lösen\, das es gar nicht gibt. Die Sprache wird verunstaltet\, verkompliziert und kaum noch vorlesbar. Dafür schafft die Abschaffung des generischen Maskulinums ein neues Problem. Die moralische Aufladung des ganzen Themas und das offensichtlich dahintersteckende geplante und abgestimmte Vorgehen müssen Ablehnung und Protest hervorrufen.“ \n– Frau Yixin Qiu wird darüber hinausgehend eine Außenperspektive bieten und erörtern\, wie sich Geschlechterungleichheit in der chinesischen Sprache ausdrückt. \nDie Veranstaltung findet online via Zoom statt. While some see it as an assault on the German language\, others consider it absolutely necessary in order to achieve true gender equality. In a controversial panel discussion\, we want to hear different points of view on the topic and discuss “sine ira et studio” to what extent gender-equitable language can contribute to gender equality. \nFour exciting speakers will discuss the topic with us this evening: \n– Prof. Dr. Karin Birkner\, Chair of German Linguistics at the University of Bayreuth\, Deputy Women’s Representative\, Deputy Chair of the Society for Applied Linguistics; she says: “Language is both a tool and an image\, it sediments the past (system) and adapts to the new (use). Wie kann die Kirche sich grundlegend reformieren und doch sie selbst bleiben? Was bedeutet es\, eine ‘moderne’ Kirche zu fordern? Diesen Fragen geht Prof. Dr. Michael Seewald nach. Zahlreiche deutsche Hochschulgemeinden setzen sich hierbei in unterschiedlichen Formaten mit kirchenpolitischen Themen auseinander. Die Reihe ist eine Reaktion auf den Konflikt um das Positionspapier „Wir wollen glaubwürdig bleiben“\, verfasst von den hauptamtlichen Mitarbeiter:innen der KHG Köln. In dem Positionspapier hatten sich diese unter anderem gegen „eine Unantastbarkeit amtskirchlicher Deutungshoheit“\, „eine Engführung kirchlicher Sexualmoral“\, „eine religiöse Aufladung von Macht“ und „eine mangelnde Wahrnehmung gesellschaftlicher Verantwortung“ ausgesprochen. Die Veröffentlichung wurde jedoch durch das Erzbistum Köln untersagt. Der Konflikt eskalierte und ist bis heute nicht geklärt. Die Veranstaltungsreihe versteht sich als Ort des offenen Austausches über diese und andere Themen.  \n\nOn June 15\, 2021\, an online discussion evening with Prof. Dr. Michael Seewald will take place at 8:00 p.m. at the invitation of the Catholic Adult Education Bayreuth and the Catholic University Community (KHG) Bayreuth. It is part of the nationwide event series “We need to talk!” The general language of the evening will be German. Translation may be possible on request. \nThe word ‘reform’ is currently on everyone’s lips wherever you listen in the Catholic Church. But what does it mean exactly? How can the Church fundamentally reform itself and yet remain itself? What does it mean to call for a ‘modern’ church? Prof. Dr. Michael Seewald explores these questions. DESCRIPTION:AudioWalk KANAL Wagner – ökumenisch \nInnenstadt Bayreuth\, Treffpunkt ESG\, Richard-Wagner-Str. 24 \nWir begeben uns jeweils mit unseren Handys (bitte ggf. an Kopfhörer denken\, denn wir werden von einer Tonaufnahme durch Bayreuth navigiert) auf die Spur einer spannenden Geschichte und lernen dabei Bayreuth von neuen Seiten kennen: \nWir werden hineingenommen in die Geschichte eines jungen an Schizophrenie erkrankten Komponisten\, der das Werk Wagners verehrt und zugleich kritisch hinterfragt. Weil er glaubt\, den Schlüssel hinter dem Erfolg der Musikstücke Wagners gefunden zu haben\, wird er von den von ihm halluzinierten Widersachern\, welche sich in seiner Vorstellung im System um ihn herum befinden\, durch die Bayreuther Innenstadt verfolgt\, wo er schließlich auch spurlos verschwindet. Was er hinterlässt ist eine Tonaufnahme an seine Schülerin\, in der er an sie das Geheimnis hinter Wagners Erfolg weitergeben möchte. \nDer Walk führt durch die Bayreuther Innenstadt\, vorbei an Wirkungsorten Wagners und auf ihn hinweisende Statuen und Abbildungen. Die „Navigation“ übernimmt durchgängig die Tonaufnahme\, der Erzähler der Narration gibt an seine Schülerin fortlaufend Weganweisungen. \nMehrere Studierende der Theater- und Medienwissenschaft der Universität Bayreuth haben im Rahmen ihres Abschlussprojektes für den Studiengang „BA Theater und Medien“ den Audiowalk entwickelt und wiederholen ihn exklusiv für uns. Start in Timeslots ab ca. 16:30 Uhr\, Tour dauert 1\,5 Stunden. Im Anschluss treffen wir uns auf der ESG-Terrasse für einen Ausklang mit gemeinsamem Essen (je nach Inzidenzwerten und Eurer Lust und Laune To-go\, Pizza oder Grillen) Bist Du dabei? Because he believes he has found the key behind the success of Wagner’s musical pieces\, he is pursued through the city center of Bayreuth by his hallucinated adversaries\, who in his imagination are in the system around him\, where he finally disappears without a trace. What he leaves behind is an audio recording to his student\, in which he wants to pass on to her the secret behind Wagner’s success. \nThe walk leads through the city center of Bayreuth\, past Wagner’s places of activity and statues and illustrations referring to him. The “navigation” is taken over by the sound recording throughout\, the narrator of the narration continuously gives directions to his student. \nSeveral students of theater and media studies at the University of Bayreuth have developed the audio walk as part of their final project for the course “BA Theater and Media” and repeat it exclusively for us. Start in timeslots from about 16:30\, tour lasts 1.5 hours. Thus we engage on a shared quest: What is “due” for me/ for us now? SUMMARY:Mittagspause für Leib und Seele // Lunch break for body and soul
DESCRIPTION:Jeden Mittwoch feiern wir die Mitte der Woche mit einer besonderen Mittagspause: Wir treffen uns nach dem Glockenschlag um 12.00 Uhr vor der KHG zum Mittagsgebet. Anschließend löffeln wir gemeinsam vegetarische Suppe. \nWer Lust hat\, beim Kochen der Suppe zu helfen\, darf gerne vorher (ab ca. 11.00 Uhr) in der KHG-Küche vorbeikommen. Auch eigene Rezepte sind gerne gesehen! \n\nEvery Wednesday we celebrate the middle of the week with a special lunch break: we meet after the bell ringing at 12.00 noon in front of the KHG for midday prayer. Afterwards we spoon vegetarian soup together. \nAnyone who would like to help make the soup is welcome to come to the KHG kitchen beforehand (from about 11.00 a.m.). Your own recipes are also welcome! \n
