SUMMARY:Afganistan: No place for women?
DESCRIPTION:Ecumenical evening in English at the ESG\, in cooperation with the Bayreuth chapter of Amnesty International. \nWomen in Afghanistan are not allowed to go to school or university. The Taliban prevent women from having a career in all areas of government and NGOs. In rural areas\, women are not allowed to watch television without their husbands’ permission and are not allowed to go out on the streets without a male escort. Marriages are determined by the fathers. Currently\, the issue of human rights is completely ignored in Afghanistan. \nSpeakers: Parwana and Fatimah \nParwana Rahmani worked in Afghanistan in the AIBA organisation (Afghanistan Independent Bar Association) for women’s rights and as a defence lawyer. She was a local force for the Germans and was evacuated from there after NATO troops withdrew. \n\n– Deutsche Übersetzung (Vortragsabend in englischer Sprache!) – \n \nÖkumenischer Abend in der ESG\, evtl. in Kooperation mit der Bayreuther Ortsgruppe von Amnesty International. \nFrauen in Afghanistan dürfen nicht zur Schule oder zur Universität gehen. Die Taliban verhindern die Karriere von Frauen in allen Regierungsbereichen und NGOs. In ländlichen Gebieten dürfen Frauen ohne die Erlaubnis ihrer Ehemänner nicht fernsehen und ohne männliche Begleitung nicht auf die Straße gehen. Die Eheschließungen werden von den Vätern bestimmt. Gegenwärtig wird die Frage der Menschenrechte in Afghanistan völlig ignoriert. \nParwana und Fatimah organisieren diesen informativen Abend für uns. \nParwana Rahmani hat sich in Afghanistan in der AIBA-Organisation (Afghanistan Independent Bar Association) für die Rechte der Frauen eingesetzt und als Defense Lawyer gearbeitet. Sie war Ortskraft für die Deutschen und wurde nach Abzug der NATO-Truppen von dort evakuiert.

DESCRIPTION:Jeden Mittwoch feiern wir die Mitte der Woche mit einer besonderen Mittagspause: Wir treffen uns um 12.00 Uhr in der KHG-Kapelle zum Mittagsgebet. Anschließend löffeln wir gemeinsam vegetarische Suppe.\nWer Lust hat\, beim Kochen der Suppe zu helfen\, darf gerne vorher (ab ca. 11.00 Uhr) in der KHG-Küche vorbeikommen. Auch eigene Rezepte sind gerne gesehen! \nEvery Wednesday we celebrate the middle of the week with a special lunch break: we meet  at 12.00 in the KHG chapel for midday prayer. Afterwards we spoon vegetarian soup together.\nAnyone who would like to help make the soup is welcome to come to the KHG kitchen beforehand (from about 11.00 a.m.). Your own recipes are also welcome!

Am Semesterende wird die KHG dann zur Bühne für die Aufführung des Stücks. \nOur legendary “Black Sheep” meet every Monday in the KHG. Newcomers are especially welcome at the beginning of the semester!\nBecause: At the beginning of the semester\, everyone chooses a play together and then rehearses regularly. At the end of the semester\, the KHG becomes the stage for the performance of the play.

DESCRIPTION:Jeden Mittwoch feiern wir die Mitte der Woche mit einer besonderen Mittagspause: Wir treffen uns um 12.00 Uhr in der KHG-Kapelle zum Mittagsgebet. Anschließend löffeln wir gemeinsam vegetarische Suppe.\nWer Lust hat\, beim Kochen der Suppe zu helfen\, darf gerne vorher (ab ca. 11.00 Uhr) in der KHG-Küche vorbeikommen. Auch eigene Rezepte sind gerne gesehen! \nEvery Wednesday we celebrate the middle of the week with a special lunch break: we meet  at 12.00 in the KHG chapel for midday prayer. Afterwards we spoon vegetarian soup together.\nAnyone who would like to help make the soup is welcome to come to the KHG kitchen beforehand (from about 11.00 a.m.). Your own recipes are also welcome!
